Dance for Joy is the premier studio in north Georgia to offer classical ballet based on the work of Maestro Enrico Cecchetti, using his teaching and philosophy  in a sequence of levels, carefully outlined to work with each dancer's unique skillset and development.  We also provide the unique opportunity for dancers to  take accredited exa

Dance for Joy is the premier studio in north Georgia to offer classical ballet based on the work of Maestro Enrico Cecchetti, using his teaching and philosophy  in a sequence of levels, carefully outlined to work with each dancer's unique skillset and development.  We also provide the unique opportunity for dancers to  take accredited examinations with nationally CCA certified examiners to help dancers find confidence, build performance skills, and celebrate their success each grade level.  Examinations begin in primary 3 and continue as an option through the advanced levels.

How do I Register?

Class Description

Classes are divided by age and level.  


2026/27 Season: 

Primary 1 Ballet

ages 5-7

Tuesdays 5:45 - 6:30pm

$40/month


Primary 2 Ballet

ages 6 +

Mondays 6:30 - 7:30pm

$55/month


Primary 3 Ballet

by invitation

Thursdays 5:30 - 6:30pm

$55/month

Dress code

Young Ladies:

* Black short sleeved leotard

* Pink tights (no nude tights permitted). 

* Black ballet skirt and a black wrap ballet sweater are optional in class but neither are permitted in exams. 

*Ballet shoes should be pink, peach or skin toned and well fitted. Split sole is preferred for over the age of 7.


Hair should be in a proper ballet bun prior to class starting in Primary 1. Please see our website for YouTube video links for guidance on proper ballet buns. Shorter hair styles, long bangs and wispy hair should be pinned back away from the face. 

Young Men:

*Fitted white short sleeve top 

*Black dance tights or black dance leggings. 

*Ballet shoes should be black.

*Dance belt when applicable. 


Hair should be secured away from face using hairspray or a bandana/wrap.
