Tuition is calculated based on the total number of hours a dancer is in the studio. We use a monthly average divided evenly over the session. Tuition covers costs of classes only and does not cover registration fees, performance fees, costume fees, dance photos, etc.
Please see the Policies and Procedures on the Student Portal for more information.
A registration fee will be charged to enroll in classes at the beginning of each session. This fee is per family/household. This acts as a hold for the dancer’s spot in class and also covers administrative fees. Registration fees will be charged at the time of registration.
Tuition is calculated using a monthly average divided evenly over the session. Months with less than 4 classes are still charged a full tuition rate. For example, months with 5 weeks or months with only 3 weeks have the same monthly charge. Tuition covers costs of classes only and does not cover performance fees, costume fees, dance photos, etc.
Tuition is based on the number of hours spent in the studio each week. Additional family members get 5% discount off tuition!
Dance for Joy gives all military and veteran families a 10% service discount on tuition! Military ID is required.
Tuition is due at the beginning of each month and is late if paid after the 10th. A valid registered credit card must be kept on file. Families may sign up for automatic payments or manually pay on a monthly basis. Tuition not received by the 10th will be charged using the card on file on the next business day. If the card is declined after the 10th, a late payment fee will be charged to the account. Tuition or any other outstanding fees that default for more than 2 weeks will result in the dancer not being able to attend classes until the account is paid in full, including late fees.
Spring Performance fees will be charged for sessions that run fall-spring. These fees include 2 tickets to the performance and a t-shirt for your dancer. In-studio performances do not involve performance fees.
Costume Fees will be charged for dancers who perform in the Spring Performance. Fees include a pair of performance tights and costume elements that will be added on to dancer’s dress code attire. Dancers in the performing company and/or classes grades 3+ may choose to wear a separate costume with an additional costume fee. All costumes are the property of Dance for Joy. Costume fees cover professional cleaning of costumes and costume elements each year. This minimizes waste and financial strain on families. Costume fees are due by the set due date which will be announced each year. Costume fees not paid in full by February 1 may result in the dancer not being able to perform.
