Tuition is calculated using a monthly average divided evenly over the session. Months with less than 4 classes are still charged a full tuition rate. For example, months with 5 weeks or months with only 3 weeks have the same monthly charge. Tuition covers costs of classes only and does not cover performance fees, costume fees, dance photos, etc.

Starting in January 2025, Dance for Joy is thrilled to offer a special program for children age 3 - 6 who want to explore beginning dance concepts! This fun-filled program begins with sparking imagination and exploration! Classes will culminate with an in-class parent demonstration of all we have learned!
Dance for Joy is the premier studio in north Georgia to offer classical ballet based on the work of Maestro Enrico Cecchetti, using his teaching and philosophy in a sequence of levels, carefully outlined to work with each dancer's unique skillset and development. We also provide the unique opportunity for dancers to take accredited examinations with nationally CCA certified examiners to help dancers find confidence, build performance skills, and celebrate their success each grade level. Examinations begin in primary 3 and continue as an option through the advanced levels.
Tap dancing is a fun, rhythm based dance form that works the logic/math side of the brain so it is a great add on when studying other dance forms! Here at Dance for Joy, we offer tap based on the Tommy Sutton Tap Method, including teaching his exercises and celebrating milestones when students can perform an exercise independently.
Tap classes are carefully structured by age and ability so dancers are always challenged with new tap concepts, technique and skill while having fun and making noise with their peers.
Students under the age of 18 must enroll in a ballet class to enroll in a tap class. Ballet teaches key elements in dance that carry over to other dance genres, including tap and jazz, such as posture, balance, poise, and strength.
Dance for Joy is the first to bring social ballroom to the Gainesville area for dancers! Ballroom Basics will include technique in waltz, foxtrot, swing, rumba, cha cha and salsa! Classes will work on poise, musicality, ballroom etiquette and more! Classes will be offered for youth and adults during the summer of 2025.

Want to work on rhythm and get a great workout too? Tap is probably the class for you! Each class will work on building balance, tap technique, and a workout for your body and mind.
Have a partner and always wanted to learn how to dance at social gatherings like weddings, cruises or just a night out? Our ballroom basics classes will cover ballroom technique, music, laughter and a GREAT workout! Ballroom is coming summer of 2025.
Dance for Joy is bringing Tap for All to adults in the community as well as the studio! Research has shown that Tap for All helps increase brain function for adults who suffer from Arthritis, Dementia, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke Survivors and more! This seated Tap class takes the taps off shoes and puts them on the dancer's hands. While tapping on a tap board placed in their lap, dancers work on tap technique, musicality and have a ton of fun!
A registration fee will be charged to enroll in classes at the beginning of each session. This fee is per family/household. This acts as a hold for the dancer’s spot in class and also covers administrative fees. Registration fees will be charged at the time of registration.

Tuition is based on the number of hours spent in the studio each week. Additional family members get 5% discount off tuition!
Dance for Joy gives all military and veteran families a 10% service discount on tuition! Military ID is required.
Tuition is due at the beginning of each month and is late if paid after the 10th. A valid registered credit card must be kept on file. Families may sign up for automatic payments or manually pay on a monthly basis. Tuition not received by the 10th will be charged using the card on file on the next business day. If the card is declined after the 10th, a late payment fee will be charged to the account. Tuition or any other outstanding fees that default for more than 2 weeks will result in the dancer not being able to attend classes until the account is paid in full, including late fees.
Spring Performance fees will be charged for sessions that run fall-spring. These fees include 2 tickets to the performance and a t-shirt for your dancer. In-studio performances do not involve performance fees.
Costume Fees will be charged for dancers who perform in the Spring Performance. Fees include a pair of performance tights and costume elements that will be added on to dancer’s dress code attire. Dancers in the performing company and/or classes grades 3+ may choose to wear a separate costume with an additional costume fee. All costumes are the property of Dance for Joy. Costume fees cover professional cleaning of costumes and costume elements each year. This minimizes waste and financial strain on families. Costume fees are due by the set due date which will be announced each year. Costume fees not paid in full by February 1 may result in the dancer not being able to perform.
